The camera normally points 008 degrees from Ryde towards Stokes Bay (the sector from Ryde on the AIS map) unless there is anything interesting going on elsewhere. Ships will show when they enter the sector. The webcam updates every 30s, which is more frequently than the ships (60s), so the ship positions will lag behind the webcam image by a small amount .
